Evidence suggests that the employee brand is becoming a strong sub-brand in its own right, and must therefore be treated with equal passion and creativity as the consumer brand when mounting a marketing campaign. To draw in the best employees, the employee brand must be uber attractive and strong. How important a role does employee marketing and communications play within your organisation, and do you consider staff an easier win than the consumer when trying to achieve brand buy-in?

1. What is your favourite fashion brand? What are the attributes of this brand?

2. Would you pay more for a preferred brand, rather than a lesser known brand?

3. Can brands influence your decision to buy? How?

4. Are you influenced by your peers/idols to wear a particular brand?

5. Can a particular brand help you create the lifestyle you would like to portray?

6. Do you think the current economic climate will affect your spending on fashion brands? Will you remain loyal to your favourite?

Re: Are MPs right to call for a ban on cheap alcohol promotions?

When you look at the figures for violence and liver
disease in Glasgow this is the last
thing we need. These club and pub owners are ignoring their duties not to
encourage excessive drinking. They should put a stop to these so-called
recession sessions. It is particularly worrying that these promotions are
deliberately being aimed at young people.

Wanted teachers for international/local students

we are searching well experience teachers , tutors or professors for international /local

Anyone esle agree?

Red Bull does taste rank and far too many people drink too much of it when out drinking - especially students who should be encouraged to drink sensibly (the majority of people I know who went to Uni carried on drinking to oblivion after they left Uni).

I wonder how much Red Bull contributes to the drink related violence on our streets?.I would not be surprised if the majority of people still out drinking at 3 or 4am and getting into trouble had consumed some Red Bull or similar energy drink, if Red Bull wasn't available, I wonder what percentage of those people would have gone home because they were tired and the drink had got the better of them.

I think the government should stop pubs, bars and clubs from selling it. It's already the responsibility of the bar not to sell alcohol to those who they know have had too much, or appear to be drunk - by selling Red Bull it just enables people to go on drinking for longer and getting more messed up before they succumb to the effects of copious amounts of alcohol.

Ban all energy drinks except in gyms and at sporting events I say. Look at Lucozade, marketed at everyday people but it's actually really bad to drink it unless you've been exercising, same as Red Bull and others.

Re: Social Media Convertions beat Search

Yes Joel davis, Social media marketing is three times higher than a visitor from google adwords. The protaganists have designed a measure that would effectively have every consumer in the UK boycotting both ESSO and BP pertrol stations. Their mission is to push back on the two primary oil companies with a view to triggering a slow down in prices at the pumps and a potential price war between suppliers, thereupon reducing prices down as far as 65p per litre. Down from £1.20 per litre.

The tactic for encouraging these circumstances is recorded below.

Dear All,

This idea makes a lot of sense, it gives some power back to individuals like us when they group their efforts to face a major challenge that would normally be beyond their control.

See what you think and please pass it on if you agree with it.

We are hitting £1.25 a litre for petrol and £1.30p diesel in some areas now, soon we will be faced with paying £2 a ltr. A friend of a friend offered this great idea:

This makes MUCH MORE SENSE than the 'don't buy petrol on a certain day campaign that was going around last April or May! The oil companies just laughed at that because they knew we wouldn't continue to hurt ourselves by refusing to buy petrol. It was more of an inconvenience to us than it was a problem for them. BUT, whoever thought of this idea, has come up with a plan that can really work.

Please read it and join in!

Now that the oil companies and the OPEC nations have conditioned us to think that the cost of a litre is CHEAP, we need to take aggressive action to teach them that BUYERS control the market place not sellers. With the price of petrol going up more each day, we consumers need to take action. The only way we are going to see the price of petrol come down is if we hit someone in the pocket by not purchasing their Petrol! And we can do that WITHOUT hurting ourselves.

Here's the idea:
For the rest of this year DON'T purchase ANY petrol from the two biggest oil companies (which now are one), ESSO and BP.
If they are not selling any petrol, they will be inclined to reduce their prices. If they reduce their prices, the other companies will have to follow suit. But to have an impact we need to reach literally millions of Esso and BP petrol buyers. It's really simple to do!!
Now, don't wimp out at this point... keep reading and I'll explain how simple it is to reach millions of people!!

I am sending this note to a lot of people. If each of you send it to at least ten more (30 x 10 = 300)... and those 300 send it to at least ten more (300 x 10 = 3,000) ... and so on, by the time the message reaches the sixth generation of people, we will have reached over THREE MILLION consumers! If those three million get excited and pass this on to ten friends each, then 30 million people will have been contacted! If it goes one level further, you guessed it... ..
THREE HUNDRED MILLION PEOPLE!!!

Again, all You have to do is send this to 10 people. That's all.(and not buy at ESSO/BP) How long would all that take? If each of us sends this email out to ten more people within one day of receipt, all 300 MILLION people could conceivably be contacted within the next 8days!!! Acting together we can make a difference . If this makes sense to you, please pass this message on.
PLEASE HOLD OUT UNTIL THEY LOWER THEIR PRICES TO THE 69p a LITRE RANGE

It's easy to make this happen. Just forward this email, and buy your petrol at Shell, Asda,Tesco, Sainsburys, Morrisons Jet etc. i.e.

Boycott BP and Esso
