I think you've all missed the point entirely - at least those who have said it won't have any impact on those who carry knives.
The ad is aimed at making it socially/culturally unacceptable to carry knives or in other words 'not cool'. If you can attach a stigma to carrying a knife, and nullify the cool aspect, with luck kids won't perceive ...
