  • RE: Is the IPA right to attack the ad industry for white, male and middle class bias?

I don't know about the agency side but I can say FOR SURE that the client side is bias towards whites.

  • RE: Am I being sidelined?

Mark, I am not saying I am very good or I deserve to be at the top, neither am I demanding any thing. I am just new here and I am not aware of any such groups or associations or if they exist at all. Sending CV to recruiters who advertise on job sites is not helping much, it gets sidelined. I get very prompt 'rejection' ...

  • RE: Am I being sidelined?

Are there any marketing associations which I can join? Because I feel what I need at this stage is face to face meeting. The traditional route is not working for me.

  • RE: Am I being sidelined?

Sean, I am saying entry level roles only after experiencing rejection for months for experienced roles. Then I applied for unpaid roles and I got through where I am currently but the commute to work is horrendous. I know I need to think out of box, that is why I am here.

  • RE: Am I being sidelined?

I have a good brand management experience in my home country but in UK I have only 6 months experience on a local brand, and I am ready to start from scratch but somehow I don't get considered even for entry level roles... Mental slavery is when you think lowly of yourself, I don't.

  • Am I being sidelined?

I am shocked to see that nobody even opens my CV when they see my name as I am not English by birth. My CV has a link to the website I am working on in the first few sentences, and I track the link everyday but sadly nobody hits the link as nobody opens my CV. Am I being sidelined because of my non English origin?
