  • RE: British Airways plans seat-selection charge

Ridiculous. If this was a new innovation - and the cost could be hidden in the launch of a new service as justifiable, then maybe it would be tolerated. • Buy-ology – Part 3

What of both brands and artists working together? Certainly the days of dollar-heavy, simple endorsement deals are over (such as Michael Jackson and Pepsi in the Eighties), but there remains good potential for both parties if they are well matched. • Ensorsements They Are A Changin'

So Mr Dylan is apparently considering the voicing directions for your journey for two SatNav brands... this will doubtless raise eye brows of not just hardcore Dylan fans, but anyone with even the slightest sense of belief that some musicians actually stand for something - that they create music at least in part, as a statement and in Dylans case, ...

  • RE: Celebrity Sell Out: Bob Dylan may voice satnav for car brands

This is now worrying. The debate about whether an artist working with a brand is 'selling out' needs to be awakened... Hot on the heels of Iggy Pop \(Swiftcover Insurance) and Jonny Rotten \(Country Life Butter) comes Dylan. It's all getting a bit silly and inappropriate.

  • re: Brits' passion for sport is unrivalled and brand owners should take note

Sport is clearly a an engaging passion - and I'm all for being positive about British success. However, in the spirit of being slightly contentious on a blog - I'd like to propose music as a more rich, universal and positive platform to be involved with. Greater flexibility to engage with multiple audiences - due to formats, content, ...

  • RE: Mobile phones tap into social networking

Actually this could be a great partnership between Samsung and Bebo, and it will be interesting to see how it pans out. Samsung have been around music for a long time now - so if they can create a solid platform that gives their brand a more constant presence in music, it's a positive step. More on the Bebo/Samsung relationship at our Blog Brands ...
