  By day, mild mannered creative-type person working with my collective, Firebird.com From a classified ad to a TV commercial we can conjure up the words and/or images that will do the best job for your needs. One thing, though, please note our philosophy: Good. Cheap. Fast. Pick any two. And as far as we're concerned one of them just has to be Good. Then, by night, weekends, holidays and tea breaks I run Junkk.com This is a free (to user) website that is essentially a Friends' Reunited for rubbish, matchmaking those with nifty ideas for finding second uses for stuff with those who can't bear to chuck stuff away if new ways can be suggested to save time, money... or the planet. This is not FreeCycle (though there is a version called JunkkYard on site), but actually finding ways to make stuff out of things destined for the refuse bin! And from this was created RE:tie, a patented new packaging enviro-design that has re:evolutionised the caps of bottles and jars to turn them from being a throw-away to something consumers will want to keep. So there you are. If it's ideas you are seeking, this is a good place to start.

Having graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering (and half of one in Veterinary Science... don't ask) I entered advertising. After a few decades and several continents I sold the agency I founded in Singapore, which started in a back bedroom and went on to become one the region's top indies. I then started a record label, which had a top 40 debut album. Returning to the UK, by way of karmic correction for a life of excess and being a tad too good at getting folk to buy things they didn't need and/or go places they needn't really go to, I created Junkk.com. It's a free website that primarily promotes reuse and repair by acting as a 'Friends Reunited for rubbish', matchmaking those looking for great second use ideas with those who can conjure them up! Now I write about what interests me calling upon my previous experiences, especially on things green-hued. And I am especially keen to inspire others by sharing anything that makes the world a better place... so long as it's still fun, mind
