About Giles Robertson
Green Banana Marketing With over 16 years’ of marketing experience in the not-for-profit and commercial sector, I founded Green Banana Marketing in November 2008. A marketing consultancy for the ethical and green sector focusing on: 1. delivering brand and business growth; 2. building new audiences; 3. marketing delivery and 4. creating business and media partnerships. Greenvoice.com Previously I was Marketing Director at greenvoice.com, successfully building a vibrant online community for the social site, allowing people who are passionate about green issues to support relevant campaigns. Southbank Centre Prior to this, I was Deputy Director of Marketing at Southbank Centre (Europe’s largest multi-arts complex incorporating Royal Festival Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall and The Hayward) managing the successful reopening of newly refurbished Royal Festival Hall attracting over 250,000 people to the first weekend. WWF At WWF, as Head of Marketing and Communications for four years, I developed major awareness campaigns and managed partner relationships with HSBC, Disney, Ben & Jerrys and ITV. Laban Previously I was Head of Marketing and Press at Laban– the world's largest dance centre. Managing the press and marketing as the organisation moved to a new lottery funded premises, attracting 8,000 locals to the opening weekend and achieving a sell out first season. Agency side I began his career working in advertising as a graduate trainee at Saatchi &Saatchi, with stints at Ogivly and Publicis.
