About Liz Smith

Liz has been working in new media marketing since 1996. She was part of the first team who launched Yahoo! into the UK. In 2000 she moved to Yahoo! New York with a remit to work with Fortune 100 global companies to build international marketing alliances with them. When she returned to the UK in 2002 she made a break for film school and trained as a cinematographer. In that capacity she shot short films, a couple of gruelling micro budget features, music videos and commercial films for the web. It seemed a logical next step to put her filmmaking skills together with her digital marketing and business skills and in January 2006 she set up a full service production company, Film38. Film38 has found its niche in producing content for digital platforms for world renowned brands. More recently Liz has set up entertaining:tv with a remit to create ad-funded programming and distribute it on new media platforms.
