This has been going on for a long time. They seem to have overlooked St John & Farringdon as an area agencies are moving to. The bigger creative community has many clusters outside of Soho and has done so for many years. Angel is rich with creative businesses for example. I think the idea you have to be in Soho is a very adland one and clients really don't care as long as they can get to the offices easily \(and park). There are many agencies successfully trading way out of the centre - people buy talent before the address.
Could Crouch End be the next Soho? Given it's concentration of creative talent, I could see an agency settle there soon – the town hall is dbeing redeveloped by the same people who did the Roundhouse. With so many creatives from poets, musicians, designers, artists and ad people there, it's a rich creative environment. And why not, it was good enough for The Kinks and Dave Stewart to set their studios up in.
