Place your bets now...Who is going to win the Apprentice?

Who do you think will win this year's Apprentice?

In my book, no one this series has matched the prowess of last year's runner up, and my personal idol - the Badger.

My bet is on the fesity Irish gal Kristina, but I'm not too fussed either way as long as its not that back-stabbing, horse- faced upstart Katie.

Adam's blandness and the white lie about the Nigella seed importers gave Sir Alan enough reason to fire him.

I half expected Katie to go after her outrageous 'get back up Nerth with your whippets' comment, but no. She's too entertaining to be FIRED yet.

Who should win? None of them as there's no stand out candidate. Or any of them. It's the Amstrad emailer (sorry em@iler, nice touch) we'll talking about, not BP.

Not really a fan to be honest, but while the contestants leave me cold, I think the show is really well put together (unlike Dragons Den et al). What I love about the format is that it does expose the contestants in some really harsh ways: would you even want to work with any of them, let alone make 'em responsible for a key chunk of your business? Alan Sugar does look uncannily like Sid James.

RE: Place your bets now...Who is going to win the Apprentice?

Going on previous years, not a SINGLE one of the candidates will have a clue what Amstrad's business entails. Therefore, Alan should hire the FIRST person to say "I should be your apprentice because I actually took the trouble to find out what your company does".

Having said that, the ability to win 'tasks' which have no bearing on the day-to-day job being offered will undoubtedly be a great bonus for any job applicant, so maybe Alan is shrewder than ANYONE gives him credit for. After all, he's clearly not earning money from his looks OR his manners.

Conclusion = pay them in American dollars. You'll get twice as much for your money.

Warning = do NOT try this in Budgens. They're wise to it and won't accept foreign currency any more.

My guess - it would have to be either Simon or Christina.

Big fan of Tre Azam - HUGE character in the house, get's on with the job and seems to succeed each task with flying colours... and he clearly knows it too!  Above all, he makes great TV and enjoy seeing him win his arguments - fortunately it's only ever been with those that deserved a mouthful back.

Noooooooo Simon is nearly as bad as Katie. They're so smug they make Simon Cowell look humble.

I take your point on Tre "I can bullshit in any language" Azam though, he is great television.

Sorry but the badger was an over aggressive BUTCH nasty antithesis of what a salesman ( Yeah I called her a man ) should be

Likewise was Saira Khan the northern gobshite with verbal diarrhea who could talk the hind leg off a Flamingo

The sad thing was, Sugar and pundits like Duncan Bannatyne were heard lauding their "Sales Skills" when the main attraction of such contenders is the guilty pleasure freak show element that all "Reality TV" producers crave

The Best contestants don't really want to "WIN" as in end up working for Sugar from some dodgy old tower block in Brentwood

What they all want is there 15 minutes of fame, the true winners are the ones that can make a career from the aftermath of being exposed on it

OK, yes Katie may be pretty rude but I want her in for as long as possible because I enjoy watching her cutting attacks.  Is that evil of me?

So glad the salesman's gone though.  At the London Zoo task, instead of using the skills that he supposedly has, he dressed in that dumb lion costume and scared all the kids off.  Nice one!

I'm agreeing with Janet on this one, no one deserves to win.

This programme is just pure genius! My body starts to shake when the opening sequence is on. This year i cant help but get irate about Katie. Why is she there!! Who is she? Who is she? Also as a northerner i was upset to see Adam go, he had a great work ethic and some good ideas but was just bullied into a corner by the toffs!! Toff off i say!

Tom I agree there is definitely an anti northern/working class vibe on the show. Adam has gone on record to say he was bullied in the house for being a car salesman.

Jacquie yes that is evil of you, you are clearly deranged. ; )

S J Rutledge, you obviously feel intimidated by the Badger and feel the need to flag up her 'BUTCH' qualities. I don't see how her manly physique detracts from her business ability.

Anyhow, tonight's episode should be a cracker, Sugar apparently calls the people of adland a bunch of tossers. What a man.

I'm sensing a bit of hostility there Charlie...!

I'm tuning in again tonight to cheer on Katie! Woo hoo!

RE: RE: Place your bets now...Who is going to win the Apprentice?

Charlie McCathie Your perception is "OBVIOUSLY" tainted by your own bias

Badgers BUTCHness is utterly relevant to my point that her sales "skills" were very poor indeed, mainly due to her OVER AGGRESSIVE APPEARANCE, NATURE AND MANNER

She has very little "business ability" as the entire series 2 and her subsequent endeavours have proven
