Am I the first to write about Friday's Marketing Industry Triathlon?! I'm sure I wasn't the only one to think what a fantastic day out it was for those working in the industry. Really well organised and given a bit more energy, a chance to mingle and get to know a few people. Mind you, the mental prep and the physical exertion did make that a little difficult and everyone cleared off quite quickly after competing, but nevertheless it was a great day out. EuroSport were there (though I understand it won't be shown on TV, but will appear on this website and a few social networks) as were one or two Olympic champions which was a nice way to make us all feel a bit special! Venue was excellent but my god, being it was my first (sprint) triathlon, what an experience the 750m swim was with 100 or so competitors all fighting to get to the same marker quicker than you.
So thanks to all those who made it a first for the industry and let's see a few more girls there next year, it must have been 80% men competing on the day!
