There must be a catch and yes there is. Get me a permanent job as either a Group Head or Creative Director in London and I will pay you half my monthly salary for two months. To keep things interesting, I will not work for less than £60k per year.

I don’t mind if you push one of your directors out of the window. I don’t care if you threaten to take your multi million account elsewhere and yes, sucking up to the board to get me the position is allowed. No matter who you are this is your chance to make sure you have the funds to spend next summer on a tropical island. To help you get started, please find some work samples and my cv on www.halfmysalary.com.

Oh, and there’s another catch. The money I’m talking about is half my net monthly income. Yes I know... I should have been an account handler. But don’t let that stop you…

Good luck!
Timo

I hadn’t but it sounded really interesting. It’s a poem or story told in 17 syllables broken up in to 3 lines (in English) or groups of 5, 7 and 5 syllables. There are lots of rules to this effective writing skill, the basics are here.

Look at this posts title again if it were Hiaku it would look some thing like this.

Haiku Poetry
Small but perfectly formed
Communication!

It’s not elegant or even Haiku but I really like the simplicity it forces you to create. You can use this technique to write the premise for your story or brand and shows that often more is less in communication. Can you write your brand communication stripped down like this and if people really understand it why would you use more. Here is a proper Haiku:

An old pond!
A frog jumps in-

The industry normally takes on between 500 and 600 college-leavers a year. However, the IPA predicts that figures for 2009 will be around 250.

Is the industry making a huge mistake?

Looking for work experience - Can someone help me to make tea?

I would really like to find a work placement with an advertising agency. I have tried the normal routes to no avail. I think I have what it takes to succeed in advertising and if not you get someone for free whose coffee making, filling and photocopying skills are fantastic.

I am a 39 year old with no qualifications but plenty of life experience. I left school at 16 and joined the Army (not very creative i know) but i was bullied at school and realised i needed to toughen up to make ready for the cut throat world of work. Since leaving the army I worked my way up to an area manager through a mixture of guile, lateral thinking and self awareness, I also follow the adage of don't kick anyone on the way up or they'll kick you harder on the way back down again.I have been running my own business for 4 years and I now want to do something that I will enjoy not just earn a living from.

I'm very creative, I DJ at a good club standard (no I don't have a pony tail or a midlife crisis),believe me the previous industry I worked in you don't get anywhere without being creative and I also took the diagonal thinking test and scored high on both the linear and lateral thinking parts.

could anyone please point me in the right direction.

Anyone know the ad agency looking after Oriflame at the moment?

Desperatley need to find this out soon...please help me lots!!

Is there any integrity left in the advertising industry?

I am currently writing a dissertation on the advertising industry. I am focusing my argument on the issue of modern Britain holding constraints on creativity within the industry. I have a few areas of focus such as political aspect, social issues and morality and also how adaption's have had to be made to fit in with regulatory watchdogs and commissions.

Any thoughts on the issue will be greatly appreciated.

Top 5 places for advertising in the world

1. London

2. Amsterdam

3. New York

4. Sao Paulo

5. Chicago

Discuss

I love this ad...

It's a Chanel No 5 ad from 1970. Nothing wrong with that, after all we live in an international age. But in light of the announcement of new COI pitches how do we feel that millions of pounds of British Taxpayers money could be being spent through foreign companies rather than supporting UK business? Should any government not be supporting it's own industries, especially in a recession?

Looking for a ad agency to represent our company

Hi - anyone there want our account - we are checkitlive.com a live streaming portal site with over 60 high quality live video streams of surf, animals and tourist sites.
