Is Frank's dead dog ad a hit or a miss?

Frank, the government drugs charity, has launched a surreal and unsettling TV commercial featuring a dead dog. Will it work on its intended audience of 15-18-year olds or just upset dogs lovers across the country?

Is Frank's dead dog ad a hit or a miss?

    • Hit - It will make 15-18-year olds think twice about taking cocaine? (50%)
    • Miss - It will work on the wrong audience, i.e. dog owners and animal lovers (50%)

I do like the ad. But I don't think any ad would deter 18-year-olds. They would have to see the devastation first hand...

It made me laugh. Is that wrong?

Looks like one of Brass Eye's satirical spoofs.

David Mitchell's voiceover does make it comedic.

It's a good ad to look at....but come on, that isnt going to stop anyone from doing drugs!

I think they need do something more hard hitting, show drug users the impact first hand....a tv/print ad isnt going to change anything.

Its not about stopping them from doing drugs (immediately) its about contacting FRANK. Its quite good in that respect, call FRANK and then hopefully they can be persuaded from not doing drugs by an advisor. The agency know any ad wont stop this market doing drugs. very clever strategy

I disagree, I dont think it pushes people to contact FRANK at all...its a good ad to watch but I dont think it would anyone pick up the phone and call. They need some more harder hitting adverts.

i think the ad doesn't work. there's nothing so curoius to stimulate info calls...and there's nothing so sad or terrible to stop the use of cocaine among the target audience...but it's a very difficult communication to set up..
