Is it finally time for Iceland to dump Kerry Katona?

Kerry Katona slurred her words and appeared drunk on the ITV1 chatshow 'This Morning'.  Her appearance sparked health fears and concerns for her wellbeing.

Iceland said in a guarded statement that "it is our opinion that Kerry should not have appeared".

Is it time for Iceland to part company with Katona?

    • Yes - Iceland must drop her she is a disaster area (74.7%)
    • No - she was on medication get off her case (25.3%)

I saw part of that interview last night and I just could not beleive it!!!  She was so spaced out.  They should have not let her in, as it was really uncomfortable to watch and will badly affect her career.  I feel a bit sorry for her though, it is so sad what addiction can do to people.  I don't really like her as I have always found her a bit annoying, but no one deserves to end up like this.

On the other hand, Iceland do need to get rid of her if they do not be associated with troubled society.

Maybe Iceland are happy to be associated with "troubled" ?

Possible, but I doubt they'd like to be associated with alcohol and drug addicts?? I strongly beleive that this might affect their brand. Anyone disagrees?

Do you think that public may think that it is too harsh to sack someone in need? Unarguably, loosing contract with Iceland will take away the last bit of motivation she has left.

Have you ever thought that maybe Kerry needs a break? She mentioned in the interview that she was taking an anti-psychotic medication called Chlorpromazine. If you google "Chlorpromazine" and read about it's side effects, it will tell you that the drug affects speech. The drug was prescribed by a qualified doctor to help her live with Bipolar. If she was Diabetic and was on TV without insulin and her behaviour went awry, would we bawl at her for being allegedly drunk and therefore a 'disgrace' who should be fired from her role with Iceland?

Sure, she has had a colourful past but on this occasion she needs you to cut her some slack. If she doesn't take her Chlorpromazine she cannot lead a 'normal' life. The doctor who prescribed the drug and the Chlorpromazine itself allows people with a life disrupting illness like Bipolar to get on with their lives.

Since the dawn of time people have been threatened by what they don't understand. Its all about lifting the veil and avoiding ignorance. If you watch the interview again you will see and hear Kerry admit she is taking Chlorpromazine. She 'fessed up! She gave you a clue to the truth, we just need to follow the clue and it will bring wisdom while it also educates.

Yes, you are absolutely right. But should she not hold her managers responsible?  For the sake of her career they should not let her to go out there in such state.  And I saw her on another late night show last week.  She was completely spaced out again.  It is very obvious that this is not good for her image no matter what is causing it ...

I think that the managers should give Kerry a break and let her fully recover before exposing her to cameras again.

Given the state of their namesake's economy, they might want to rebrand completely, separate from their promotional work with Katona...
