Marketing Project/Dissertaion Help

I am currently in my 3rd year of an Advertising and Marketing Comms degree and I am currently at the start of a marketing project/dissertation. Im looking to do my project on Internet advertising but at the moment I cant find any good resources that could help me to focus my ideas into one area. Does anyone know of any books, online resources or journals that I could look at for some help? If you have any additional advice or help on undertaking a marketing project I would be very greatful.

Hi Richard,

What uni are you at? If you are at Bournemouth which the course name would suggest then you can access Emerald insight on the databse site of the library.

 Alternatively there are a lot of articles on here about internet advertising as well as WARC. Perhaps a good couple of topics could be the affectiveness of search engine optimisation, the effectiveness compared to traditional media, or looking at methods of measurement online. I would also suggest linking in something about social communities so maybe brands having a presence on Facebook or Second Life. Hope this helps?

 Thanks for your reply. I am actually studying at De Montfort University in Leicester which does the same course as Bournemouth. I am researching the information available on the effectiveness of internet compared to TV advertising as well as looking at how the two media's can be used together to target the 'digital' generation. I have a meeting with my tutor on wednesday which should help me to focus my idea.

not sure whether you still need advice but I think The Marketing Week magazine is good for this kind of information. I've been reading it every month, it has good articles.
