Fags are not trainers, or perfume, or knickers. It's hard to believe that anyone is swayed by advertising or logos in this sector. Fags are probably more 'my mother / father / brother / sister / mates smoke those; I will too'. Just like Brillo Pads, Vim and Bronco bog paper: you use them because you were brought up with them or you've been around them for a while. Any *** aficionado is on intimate terms with the colour pallet and iconography of their poison of choice. An assertion that could be proved by the illiterate who form part of the smoking class the govt is aspiring to 'save'. We could design packs which would be instantly recognizable by using those visual cues alone, so what difference does removing the name or a logo make? Sod all.

Nanny state or what. Do they actually think that taking logos off will change a thing? Governments haven't a clue about marketing. Let people decide how they want to kill themselves. We all have to die sometime. Haven't politicians got something useful to do with their time.

haha, maybe they want to go green :). Only recycled material :). Anyway, I think all governments should ban SMOKING. Or as I read somewhere - the Japans made tobacco with some vitamins and without the nicotine or everything that is bad :). But, still, I think banning the smoking. Cheers!

I personally think that whatever direction the government chooses to go with, won't work. People have been smoking for many years, and after all, there are many other things in life that are bad for your health e.g. drinking... not just smoking.

I think that the government should start focusing on something more worth there while.

I agree that if people choose to smoke and deteriorate there health, it is up to them. We are all dying to live and living to die, let them decide there fate.

Air pollution in some countries are way worse than the inhalation of a cigarette, maybe they can concentrate on that?
