Rate last night's Champions League ads

Manchester United were not the only big winners last night as they won their third European Cup in a dramatic sudden death penalty shoot out against English rivals Chelsea.

ITV1 creamed an extra £1m in ad revenue on the back of the final going into extra time, taking its total on the night up to £10m. Advertisers paid £200,000 for a 30-second spot during ITV1's ad breaks but did they make the most of their costly outlay?

Ford and Cadbury Trebor Bassett both used the high profile opportunity to launch new ads. Other advertisers included Audi, Nike, BT and Heineken.

Watch the ads and let us know which advertiser won the night?

The ad that stood out for me was the brilliant Nike football ad directed by Guy Ritchie. It seemed tailor made for the event. The new Christo-inspired Ford Kuga ad was also rather good.

rate the ads?? how sad is that ...

    did anyone watch the match?

my prize would go to Ford for being first in the break and for looking like a Honda ad

I agree with Darren; the Nike spot was even better than watching John Terry cry. Nice Ford ad too.

I think the Nike thing was pretty reasonable, but my sense of right and wrong will never allow me to say anything remotely connected with that talentless hack Guy Ritchie (I hated him long before it was fashionable to do so) is any good. So I can't. It was rubbish.

I liked the Ford ad, but I'm biased. I work for the agency that made it. But I still think it's really good.

I also like the fact that won this forum we've just had two (count 'em) posts before someone mentioned the word "Honda".

I really liked the Audi ad. The Nike one is good, but after seeing the full version online, it's not the same

The Nike ad is very good, but weirdly looks like a computer game – Arséne Wenger looks oddly flat and 2D (no nasty comments, please) and the stadiums look lo-res. The Ford ad is an oddity, but being relatively quiet, contrasted against the noise of the match. Don't remember the Heineken ad. Maybe I was too busy laughing at Drogba being sent off. As for the match, on balance I thought Chelsea would take it the second half, but they couldn't manage it and by the time the penalties came round I was rooting for United (which is an uncomfortable feeling for a Gooner). Chelsea were bad sports and play-actors.

Oglivy not only produced a great ad for Ford but also did well to nab the first spot in the half time break
