Idea for sketch - A well -known adman comes into possession of a grand's worth of dodging £50 notes. He can't pass them off (even the Ivy uses one of those little marker pens to check for countfeits), the banks won't refund him, so he concocts an absurb scam to off-load them.

Ronnie Barker said something similar years ago, as he was adept at writing comedy, fiction, factual (antique books) and ads. His nom de plume was Gerald Wiley which he often hid behind because he didn't want to appear a smart arse.

I suspect you may not have known this, so it's commendable that you've discovered this similarity for yourselves. If only all creatives were as inquisitive as you two. Your ECD must be proud.

While we're on this dirty subject, do we know if this award cash is tax free or not? Might make or break CLB episode 3. Cyber-Garry and Cyber-Robert's agents have got Equity on our case.
