Blooming Crackers

Hello and a happy new year. Just to remind everyone of Christmas, here's a picture of the world's first entirely green cracker.

The idea is that once you're done with them, you can plant them in the ground and they become flowers. I (Lol) have a curse when it comes to plants (they always die on me as a result of either under-watering or under-watering), so I'll have to find out from my family members whether they actually grow or not. Either way they made a lovely change from the usual pikey crackers replete with pointless shoehorns, gharish plastic keyrings and a whole lot of paper-wastage.

They're from a site called biomelifestyle.com, full of earth-loving present ideas. They've sold out of the flowering crackers for now, but pop back next christmas and they should have them back up.

I swapped my cracker present for some mini screwdrivers that my mum got. They were useless when it came to doing a minor electrical repair, however - the handle moved independently of the metallic part. This looks like a good option for next year.

A great idea - each year the mounds of wrapping paper and spent crackers makes me feel more and more guilty.
