I've been a bit busy lately. So apologies to all my apt readers out there who have missed me. Sincerely, a big thanks to both of you.
Anyway, where was I ? Oh yes, I have recently written a presentation inspired by something I saw on YouTube. Basically it's about astonishing facts and figures about the future. Like did you know that if the virtual 'population' of MySpace were a real country it would be the 11th biggest in the World ? Just ahead of Mexico and just behind Japan. Fascinating right ? (oh please yourself then).
Anyway, CNN are running a Future Summit in Singapore this June to discuss whether 'virtual worlds' will become the new countries (or at least communities) in the future.
Pundits include the great and good from the likes of Flickr, Second Life, Wikipedia, Funcom etc. debating whether the future of our world is destined to exist in cyberspace.
Not sure I want to just be an avatar. Do you ? I can't imagine virtual beer tastes that good. And a few other things spring to mind that probably are not quite as good in a virtual world...
