I was intrigued to read last week that Blackwell's Charing Cross Road branch in London, now has the first example of the “Espresso Book Machine” in the UK. This is the digital one that prints and binds books on demand in five minutes, while customers...

Did Ken kill Barbie?
Today's Wall Street Journal has a story about how Mattel is struggling to breathe life back into its flagship brand, Barbie--more than a year after problems surfaced. A great illustration of the tough job the toy industry faces in attracting the fickle...

GodJobs strikes fear into the wankerberry community!
Over here in the US, while most people on the East Coast were out doing their three martini lunches, they probably missed the news, Apple just unrolled its roadmap for the iPhone this morning, and it charts a route to the heart of the uber wonky, business...

Steve Jobs turns even nastier!
When I lived in California, I worked on the Apple account at Chiat for several years, I can tell you the mercurial temperament of Steve Jobs is a fact. Short on patience and long on acidic ridicule, he takes the concept of feedback to withering heights...

Mini my arse!
Here in the States, the Mini has been quite a success storry, selling 35,000 cars last year, which may not sound a lot compared to the big brands, but for a niche product, it's done extremely well. So, I'll be curious to see if they screw things...

The "King of Beers" announces another shitty product!
I had to laugh when I read in today's AdAge about the launch of a new Budweiser brand... "BL Lime" which is apparently a lime flavored version of Bud Light. I can't imagine anything more dreadful. Most light beers are pretty tasteless...
