Anything is more interesting than Robert Peson quite frankly - unless you favour the Kraftwerk-reject look and strange (and when I say strange, I mean intensely annoying) intonation.

Thanks mate - I'm in row 2 next to a chubby bloke who is next to an enormously fat bloke. It's like a series of Russian dolls.

I hadn't seen the story although I remember seeing his wife on one of those reality cooking things and she was quite tidy. Poor old Al.

Have you seen the story in today's Sun about Al and his wife splitting? "Pals say the 6ft 3in star, who had been married once before, has been left 'in bits' by the break-up. A source close to him said: 'He's a million miles away from being the Al Murray everyone recognises right now.'

Might explain why the show has gone a bit shite.
