A bikini clad Paris Hilton has responded to John McCain's infamous viral video with her own response ad in which she promises to paint the White House pink and make chart-topper Rhianna her vice-president if she wins the presidential election.
Hilton's amusing ad is a response to McCain's web ad of last week which pitted his opponent, Barack Obama, as a super-celebrity in between footage of the heiress and Britney Spears. It emerged afterwards that McCain is actually funded by the Hilton family.
The video was published on Will Ferrell's comedy website FunnyorDie.com in the last 24 hours.
Given that McCain is gaining traction with the claim that Obama is celebrity-obsessed, the Obama campaign will be irked to see Hilton fanning the flames of this one.
The McCain campaign has even responded to Hilton's ad, with spokesman Tucker Bounds saying:
"Sounds like Paris is taking the 'all of the above' energy approach that John McCain has advocated — both alternatives and drilling.
"Perhaps the reality is that Paris has a more substantive energy plan than Barack Obama."
"if she win's the presidential election".
If she win is the presidential election? That doesn't make any sense. What do you mean by "win is"?
I first saw this video on BitchBuzz. Who's behind it?
@Dan Willamson, according to Agence France-Presse the brains behind Hilton's advert were Funnyordie.com contributors Adam McKay and Chris Henchy, who pitched the idea of filming the spot to Hilton themselves. I think they've done a cracking job myself.
You gotta love Paris Hilton. Great viral ad and it beats the *** out of McCain's videos.
@SP, good spot - thanks.
Great. But who's behind BitchBuzz.com? It's due to launch tonight. Hailed as a new take on the tired website for women format. And no, I don't write for it.
Looks interesting. I'll ask around, particularly the "feisty women" it is aimed at...
Darren - a pleasure.
A greater pleasure to get a response that isn't the usual "spelin dont matter" that some bloggers use.
Where's the video?
It's gone?!?
@Holly Martins, the YouTube video of Paris' ad has been taken down. I've posted again using Daily Motion so you should be able to watch the ad now.
Paris - you have my vote!
