Great idea. Not sure about having the player pocket the 10k though. Would be better if it went to a charity, grassroots football or something like that.

As for rubbish goal celebrations - I always hated Alan Shearer's one arm aloft salute. Dull and predictable like his BBC punditry.

Robbie Keane's cartwheels and archer celebrations were cheesy but entertaining.

My favourite celebrations are the natural ones which just express pure unfettered joy - I;m thinking of Jonathan Woodgate's Carling Cup final winner against Chelsea. I'm sure you remember this Ed? Or more recently, David Bentley's exquisite lob at the Emirates in the 4-4 Premier League draw.
