Yet when you talk to most marketers what &amp;nbsp;they want is greater efficiency to do more with the resources (both human and financial) they currently have. The difference in approach appears to be that procurement see marketing as a cost to be reduced and marketing see it an an investment to be maximised. Many procurement people have difficulty booking improved efficiency and effectiveness and are more comfortable with the concept of financial savings. Yet for procurement to be really effective in the marketing space they need to develop techniques and methodologies to assist marketers be more effective and efficient and not simply cheaper.&lt;/p&gt;
