I was at an event this week when it was revealed that people like negative comments. When you buy a book from Amazon you almost always read the reviews. Well research indicates that negativity is good because it gives people a more balanced view about a product. If you just seem positive reviews it makes people sceptical.

Robin, I will try to get the source of the research from the speaker. The main point was that if for example you are buying a product then you would have more realistic expectations and would be less likely to return it if you were given a balanced overview plus and positives of its functions

Thanks Justin - the source would be really useful (there's way to much hearsay flying around our industry as it is) - sorry my comment was so blunt - was dashing to a meeting...
